Welcome to Howell Shooting Club

On August
3rd, Howell Shooting Club and SAFER USA hosted the criminal justice program
students from Westwood College for the afternoon. Students were given basic
pistol and rifle safety and marksmanship orientation.

The general membership meeting scheduled for February 7th, will be held at the UPA in Plattville.
Facilities

Front berm - this 50-yard range is an all-purpose pistol and .22 caliber rifle area with an assortment of falling targets for plinking or informal practice. This area is also used for special pistol, shotgun, .22 rifle and archery practice.

Back berm - this 30-yard range has bowling pin tables and various stations of portable falling steel plates. This range is primarily used for practicing center fire pistol speed shooting.

South berm - this 35-yard berm is mostly for center fire pistol practice. Local police departments often use this range for practice and firearm qualification.

100-meter berm - designed for .22 rimfire silhouette practice. It also may be used for air gun and archery practice.

Trap range - this area has a five-position, 15-yard firing line with steel trap house protecting a manual target thrower. Members often bring their own trap machines.
Hours of Operation
Firearm ranges (except during scheduled special events):
Monday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. to sunset.
The first Sunday of the month, May through October, there are scheduled club shoots and open shooting from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Archery range (except during scheduled special events):
Unlimited hours, 7-days a week
